The memory that sticks in my mind the most is when I went to my brother-in-law Alex’s party last summer, and Vince showed up by himself. He sat next to me and had a conversation with me about life and mutual friends. He didn’t have to sit and talk to me because there were plenty of other people around who he knew much better than me. He was just that kind of a person. He gave everyone his undivided attention. That’s one of the things I always noticed about him, besides being beautiful on the inside and out. I’m grateful that I got to spend time with Nadia, him, and his parents in Savannah, Georgia—one of those memories I will always cherish.
